God was pleased and gave her a long, elegant neck so she could reach the leaves of the tallest trees.The giraffe is the tallest animal on earth and is known not only for its long neck and legs, but also for its distinctive coat patterns. 

These patterns are used to identify the various subspecies which roam the African savannahs and woodlands.
